Romeo Santos is a composer and singer who thanks to his great musical career, first as lead singer of Aventura group that was given the task of writing hits like “Obsession”, “The Wedding” and “A Kiss, and now solo with hits like “El Malo”, “For a Second” and “Indecent Proposal” has come to be considered The King of Bachata. BIOGRAPHY

However, his fascination with the art of the popular song commenced when he discovered singers like Camilo Sesto, Manuel Alejandro, Juan Gabriel, Omar Alfano, and – of course – Juan Luis Guerra. Most people focus on the artist, but Romeo always interested to know who wrote the songs he heard. Their blossoming romance with songwriting was only the beginning of a journey that had hardly imagined.
By a twist of fate, Romeo soon joined the church choir with his cousin Henry. Shortly thereafter, Romeo and Henry would cross paths and would join Lenny and Mikey to form Aventura. Since the beginning Romeo wrote (arranged and produced in collaboration with Lenny) Aventura all songs, recording only one cover (“Gone” as contained on We Broke The Rules) throughout the amazing trajectory group.
A string of hits including “Obsession”, “When you return”, “I still love”, “Sister”, “The Wedding”, “Bye”, “My sweetheart”, “Unfaithful”, “Loser”, ” For A Second “,” Your Poison “,” Tell the Love, “” The Bad “, to name a few, were the catalyst Adventure to stardom.
However, this is not the story of Aventura, this is the story of Romeo and another “adventure” began as a soloist. At one point in 2004, Obsession Aventura was # 1 and the Third Wish version was # 2.
